Some advice from a Coach

Hockey Canada (http://www.hockeycanada.ca)

A great place to look for practice drills for each level is through Hockey Canada which has their offices at the University of Ottawa Sports Complex. (book list and prices are available online (http://www.hockeycanada.ca)

They have binders for each level that you can purchase (about 30 $ a pop) which contain a full year of practices (full ice).  If you have a B or A team to coach, I usually get the next level binder (I have the Pee Wee one now).  These binders are very usefull when you run out of drill ideas.  They also have a goaltender binder which covers from beginner level to expert and they have drills again to practice goalies.

A lot of coaches run excellent drills for the players but often, they overlook one of the most important players on the team (goaltender).

jeshockey.com (http://jeshockey.com)

Coaches can also check Jeshockey.com which is a drill web site for all sports with about 50 drills dedicated to hockey.  They also have a free software that you can download with which you can create your own drills on the computer and print them up.

drilldraw.com (http://drilldraw.com)

Software to enable a coach to create drills, save them and then add them to a practice planer.  This software also enables you to send the drills and or practice planners via E-mail to the assistant coaches.  Dills can also be purchased from Drill Draw.
