Re Election of Members to District XII's Board of Directors

 

As there has been a change in the process to elect District XII's Board of Directors, I am writing today to notify all members of the Cumberland Minor Hockey Association nomination process for the upcoming election of members to District XII Board of Directors:

1) All nominations for elected positions to Distict XII's Board of Directors must be received by the District XII's Executive
Secretary no later than Wednesday March 17, 2010.

2) All nominations must include the name and signature of the person submitting and seconding the nomination. Nominations can only be submitted by members in good standing of Cumberland Minor Hockey.

4) As per District XII's By-Laws

a) Full or part time employees of the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association or the Ottawa District Hockey Association
shall not be eligible for election as Executive Members of District XII.

b) No District Chairman shall serve as an Association President or be an elected member on the Executive of any
Association or league.

c) The terms of office for positions on the Executive shall be for a period of one year and shall be open for election at the end
of each term.

d) To be eligible as a candidate for District XII Chairman, the nominated member must have served a minimum of two (2)
years and still be currently serving on the District XII Executive Board or on an Association Executive Board.

e) In the event that a duly nominated candidate is unsuccessful for the position to which they were originally nominated, the
candidate is permitted to declare their intent to stand for election for another position due for election in that year.

f) Executive Member positions remaining vacant following the AGM, will be filled in a manner deemed appropriate by the
Executive Board.

5) The following one year positions are open for election

a) Chairman
b) Vice Chairman
c) Director of Finance
d) Executive Secretary
e) Director of Risk and Safety/Harassment and Abuse
f) Director of Discipline and Appeals
g) Registrar
h) Director at Large
i) Director at Large

6) The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of District XII is scheduled for April 22, 2010 at Ray Friel Hall D @ 7:00pm. Further information regarding
the AGM will be distributed shortly.
