2005.04.17 - Peewee A1 "Titans" Win Ottawa Minor Hockey Tournament

 

Congratulations to the Peewee A1 "Titans" and coach Jeff Toll on winning the Peewee A "B" Side Champions at the Ottawa Minor Hockey Tournament in support of the Ottawa Senators Foundation Roger's House held the weekend of April 16 and 17.  The team's Outstanding Player for the Tournament was Sébastien Lacroix.

2005.04.09 - Cumberland Playoff Champions

Novice C1 Win South-End Tournament

Congratulations to Novice C1 and coach Ted Angell on winning the South End Tournament

 

2005.04.04 - IP A2 "Avalanche" Win 2nd Place in City of Ottawa Tournament

On April 3,4 the Cumberland Avalanche played in the City of Ottawa Tournament and won second place after a hard fought 5-3 loss in the Championship game against Metcalfe Jets. The kids had a great time and coach Kim Miner was very proud of the effort the team put forth.

2005.03.27 - Novice A1 "Coyotes" Win Division at Dollard Des Ormeaux

 

Congratulations are in order for this great bunch of Novice A1 House Kids for winning the Dollard Des Ormeaux Novice Ontario Division this Weekend in Dollard.

 

The kids saved their best team efforts for the finals and beat Stittsville 7-6 in a tough see saw battle. A big thank you from the coach's for the great efforts by all the kids plus Mom and Dads. We were finalist in the Quebec / Ontario finals losing to St. Laurant Rockets.

2005.03.17 - Bantam A2 "Mighty Ducks" Wins Orillia Tournament

 

Congratulations to the Cumberland Bantam A2 "Mighty Ducks" and coach Guy Parisien on winning their second Bantam A tournament this year. This one was won during the March break Orillia, Ontario.

 

2005.03.14 PeeWee A2 Win Bell Sensplex Tournament


Congratulations to PeeWee A2 on winning the Bell Sensplex Tournament.

They were also the Finalists in the City of Ottawa Minor Hockey Tournament - 16-17 April 2005 and they ended their regular season in 1st Place as Champions in the GHA Standing for 2004-2005.

 

Congratulations to all the players and coaches for a great and fun season and many thanks to all parents for their continuous support.

 

2005.02.26 - Novice B6 "Tigers" Win Lanark Tournament

Congratulations to the Cumberland Tigers (Novice B6) and coach Paul Melia on winning the Lanark Novice Tournament on February 26.

 

2005.02.20 - Atom A4 "Ice Thunder" Win Tournament in Syracuse

 

Congratulations to the Cumberland Ice Thunder (Atom A4) and coach Gerry Savage on winning the Onondaga Thunder Tournament in Syracuse, New York. They beat teams from Canada and the United States to win the tournament.

 

2005.02.05 Atom Cumberland A3 Snipers win Perth/Lanark Tournament

The Atom Cumberland A3 (Snipers) won the Division A Championship at the Perth/Lanark Tournament on February 5th, 2005. They went undefeated (Game 1: 4 to 2, Game 2: 7 to 4 and Finals: 3 to 2) in all of their games winning the finals with less than 6 seconds to go in the second sudden death overtime period over Almonte.

2005.01.23 IP A2 "Avalanche" Undefeated In Arnprior

Cumberland Avalanche A2 IP went undefeated in Arnprior on Sunday Jan 23. Three games were played and won them all against these teams, Arnprior, Rockland , and Cumberland Almighty Ducks A1 team. Coach is Kim Miner.

2005.01.17 Bantam A2 "Mighty Ducks" win Gloucester Tournament

Gloucester Hockey Tournament held two weekends ago.

 

The champions from Cumberland Minor Hockey Tournament.

 

In the Bantam A division, the Cumberland Mighty Ducks, coached by Guy Parisien, edged out the SouthEnd Patriots 3-2 in a hard fought championship, which saw only one minor penalty called in the whole game. The Patriots, coached by Harry Silverstone, played the penalty-free portion of the game.

 

To arrive at the finals, the Mighty Ducks downed the Canterbury Knights by a score of 3-2, while the Patriots defeated the Ottawa Centre Renegades 4-3 in a shootout that had to go two rounds to be decided after the game finished in a 1-1 tie.

 

2005.01.05 - Cumberland Atom House League Success at the Bell Capital Cup
