FEDERAL FITNESS TAX CREDIT INFORMATION

A children's fitness tax credit for up to $500 in eligible fees for physical fitness programs for each child under age 16 is available.

Eligibility

Fitness Tax receipts are issued for those children under the age of 16 on Janary 1st of the tax year.

For example, the 2008 receipts are issued for kids born in 1992 or later.

NOTE - blank tax receipts are not handed out.

Income Tax Receipt Pick Up Dates

District XII (on behalf of The Cumberland Minor Hockey Association House League and The Cumberland Junior Grads) will be distributing tax receipts for the Fitness Tax Credit.

In February, the tax receipts for the team are given to each Coach / Team Manager for distribution to the parents on the team.
